Lagja ("we", "our", or "us") is a placement preparation tracker app built for BCA and BTech students in India. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Lagja, we collect the following:

Google Account Info — your name, email address, and profile photo when you sign in with Google.
App Data — DSA problems, company wishlist, interview notes, and roadmap data that you create inside the app.
Activity Data — daily activity counts and streaks to track your preparation progress.
Group Data — if you join a leaderboard group, your display name and problem-solving stats are visible to group members.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and sync your placement prep data across sessions.
To show your progress, streaks, and leaderboard rankings.
To generate AI-powered roadmaps and company insights using Google Gemini API.
We do not sell your data to any third party.
We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

Lagja uses the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google) — for authentication and cloud data storage. Firebase Privacy Policy
Google Gemini API — for AI roadmap and company intel generation. Prompts sent to Gemini do not include any personally identifiable information. Google Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage

All your data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore under your unique user ID. Only you can access your personal data. Group leaderboard data is shared only within your group.

5. Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app via Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data from our servers.

6. Children's Privacy

Lagja is intended for students aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
